NaPCA is a skin moisturizer that is one of those really neat products that you will really love using! It is quite possibly THE best anti aging, skin moisturizers there is. Let me tell you a bit more about it!
What is It?
The technical name for this compound is sodium pyrrolidone carboxylic acid. It is the natural moisturization factor in human skin, and is synthesized from glutamic acid, a non-essential amino acid.
If you guessed that it diminishes with age you are right on target! Human skin loses this compound as it ages, and as you might imagine restoring it will help your skin to retain its youthful moisture and suppleness.
How Does it Work?
NaPCA is used in many products as a skin moisturizer and humectant. Humectants are substances that draw water from the air. Water is the most important factor in healthy skin, so the best anti aging moisturizer will draw water from the air to hydrate your skin.
The product is not a cosmetic that just covers up dry skin, but rather it is a real antiaging skin tonic that restores essential moisture, and improves the appearance of the skin by helping to re-hydrate skin cells and fight dryness.
Skin tone and firmness are also improved because water is essential to how the facial muscles function, and this affects how those muscles hold the skin tight and do not allow it to sag. Unlike other skin moisturizers, the product is correcting an age related deficiency, not just hiding it!
How Is It Used
NaPCA comes in various forms and in products made by a number of companies. The one I prefer is made by TwinLab and comes in two forms, plain and with added Aloe Vera. Both are available in an 8oz. plastic spray bottle.
In the spray form it is a great skin moisturizer to use. It’s light, refreshing, pleasant smelling and soothing to your skin. Either form will work, but some including myself like the aloe vera for it’s extra soothing qualities. I find it’s the best anti aging moisturizer to shave with, and seems to eliminate shaving irritation quite well.
It can be found in creams as a humectant, and I would say that any product containing this compound will have similar effects in that it will help hydrate the skin rather than irritate it like other cosmetics can.
The Best Anti Aging Moisturizer
This is by far the best skin moisturizer I have ever used! It’s that good! I will say this even though I don’t sell it. Anyone that has a problem with dry skin should be using this. Unlike oil based products it is not greasy, and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.
Among skin moisturizers, this is truly a standout! It has been around for the better part of 20 years, and I have yet to find a better (skin cuetical). Do yourself (not to mention your skin) a huge favor and pick up some NaPCA today. Your skin will thank you, and you will thank me!
