The Side Effects of Adderal by: George Parigian Jr.
HI Tyler,
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I am not familiar with Adderal in particular, but it is common practice to prescribe medication for youngsters who have trouble concentrating in school, (such as Ritalin).
This is often done after a diagnosis of ADD or "attention deficit disorder." The problem with this approach is that there is no effort to determine the root cause of this alleged attention problem.
Learning problems can be caused by a number of things, and failure to properly identify the cause can leave a young person with a problem that never gets accurately diagnosed, let alone treated properly.
In our modern day society, it has become far too easy to just drug a child with learning problems, rather than give the individualized attention that would provide a better and healthier outcome.
